Bay windows, porches and canopies often have a pitch too low for tiles. Lead is the right answer for most of them, because it can be dressed to any shape and laid at a low pitch.
In Sindlesham a porch roof had been tiled with plain tiles at a pitch they cannot cope with, and it was leaking in several places. We strengthened the structure, re-boarded it in ply and covered it with a vented Code 5 lead roof.
Opposite Windsor Castle we made and fitted a new Code 6 lead entrance canopy for a listed building, with the substrate, bossing and welding all done to Lead Sheet Association guidelines to satisfy the heritage officers.
