Valleys and gutters carry more water than any other part of a roof, so when the lead in them fails the leak is usually a bad one. We strip out split or worn lead and lay new lead valleys, box gutters, parapet gutters and chimney back gutters.
Each run is laid in lengths that suit the code of lead, with drips or welts between them so it can expand and contract, on a sound board with the correct underlay. Box and parapet gutters get proper falls to the outlet so water does not sit in them.
Where the boards or timbers under an old gutter have rotted we replace them first, since new lead on a soft base will not last.
