Lead that has split, cracked, lifted in the wind or been stolen needs dealing with quickly, because the water gets in fast.
We repair or replace lead flashings, capping, valleys and small lead roofs. Before we price it we look at why it failed. Splits usually mean the pieces were too long or fixed too tightly to move, and corrosion underneath usually means no ventilation or the wrong underlay. On a job at Wentworth the capping was corroding from the inside because of the underlay, so we replaced the board and underlay as well as the lead.
If lead has been stolen we can make the roof watertight and then replace it.
